Services
Practical help with the parts of IT that are easy to postpone
Each service can be taken on its own or combined into one engagement. The work is scoped in writing before it starts, and every piece ends with something written that you keep.
Ask about a service-
IT assessment and roadmap
A structured review of your hardware, software, accounts, network, backups and support arrangements. We talk to the people who use and run them, then set out the risks and a sequenced plan with the effort each step involves.
You receiveA written assessment and a prioritized roadmap.
-
Cloud and workplace platforms
Planning and overseeing a move to, or a tidy-up of, your email, file storage and collaboration tools: account structure, sharing settings, licensing and the order in which things move.
You receiveA migration plan, configuration notes and a cut-over checklist.
-
Identity, access and devices
Who can sign in to what, and from which devices. We review or set up multi-factor sign-in, administrator roles, steps for people joining and leaving, and device enrollment, so that access follows the role rather than history.
You receiveAn access model, written procedures and a configuration record.
-
Backup and recovery planning
We check what is actually backed up, where it goes and how long it is kept, then run test restores with your team. The result is a recovery plan that names who does what when a system or a file goes missing.
You receiveRestore test notes and a written recovery plan.
-
Supplier and purchasing advice
Help choosing and managing IT providers, software and hardware: writing down requirements, comparing proposals on equal terms, and reading support agreements with you before you sign.
You receiveA requirements document and a side-by-side comparison for decision makers.
-
Documentation and handover
An asset register, network diagrams, an account inventory and step-by-step runbooks, written so that a new colleague or a new provider can pick them up without us in the room.
You receiveA documentation set in formats you own and can edit.
Engagement
How an engagement works
Every engagement follows the same five stages. Each one ends with something in writing, so you can pause, change direction or continue with your own people at any point.
-
First conversation
You email us a short description of the situation. We reply with a few questions, then arrange a call to agree what a first piece of work should cover.
You receiveA written proposal setting out scope, timing and cost.
-
Discovery
We review systems, settings and existing documents, using read-only access where possible, and talk to the people who use and support them.
You receiveAn inventory of what is in place and a list of open questions.
-
Findings and plan
We walk you through what we found in plain language, explain the trade-offs between options, and agree priorities with you.
You receiveA written report and a sequenced roadmap.
-
Delivery support
We make the agreed changes alongside your staff or IT provider, or oversee the work they do, checking each step against the plan.
You receiveA record of each change and updated documentation.
-
Handover
We take your team through the documentation and confirm who owns each part from here on.
You receiveThe complete documentation set and an agreed list of follow-ups.
